First-Time Setup: Granting Camera Permission

When you open the app for the very first time, you need to grant permission to access your camera:

  • Open the App: Tap and open the FreeCam Studio app on your Android phone.
  • Permission Popup: A prompt will appear on your screen asking: "Allow FreeCam Studio to take pictures and record video?"
  • Grant Access: Tap "While using the app" or "Allow".

Method 01: Connecting via Wi-Fi

Both your computer and smartphone must be connected to the same Wi-Fi network.

  1. Open FreeCam Studio on your Android device and note the IP Address (e.g., 192.168.8.150).
  2. Launch the FreeCam PC Client application on your computer.
  3. Enter your phone's IP address and click WIFI.

Method 02: Connecting via USB Cable (ADB)

  1. Go to Phone Settings -> About Phone -> Tap Build Number 7 times to enable Developer Options.
  2. Go to Developer Options and turn on USB Debugging.
  3. Connect via USB, open PC Client, and click the USB connect button. Tap Allow on your phone prompt.
